Rolling out Champions since 2000

Log rolling is great fun and our friends in Thorne Bay, Alaska, located on beautiful Prince of Wales Island, have caught rollin' fever. The City of Thorne Bay donated 20ft long cants that were cut 12" thick for the four sides then tied the corners together with 4X8 framing and plumbers tape. The milling and delievery was also donated and Jim McFarland donated his time & fork lift to stack them. The pond was then armored with yellow cedar chips on the outside and red cedar sawdust on the inside to make is "cushy", lined with heavy plastic and filled with water.

Keep watching this page for exciting news about the action going on in Thorne Bay. We're working on a plan to get a couple of coaches and some of the Coho's to Thorne Bay for a demonstration and hopefully we'll have a new team to join Alaska Log Rollers, Inc. Contact us if you are interested in log rolling on Prince of Wales. If you are interested in the Prince of Wales Logging Show, please contact the POW Chamber of Commerce.

This is a great pond!!!!
